What is the difference between i900 Mobility and previous products?
i900 Mobility can connect directly via Wi-Fi without a wireless hub, and on iPad it can be used with the newly added dedicated app Medit Link Express.
(On a computer, it can still be used with Medit Link and Medit Scan for Clinics, and Medit Link Express is a simplified iPad app that combines the core functions of these two software programs.)

[Wi-Fi & Wireless Hub] How do I connect i900 Mobility? ⭐
i900 Mobility offers two connection methods.
You can connect i900 Mobility wirelessly to an iPad through a Wi-Fi router, Wireless Hub, or hotspot using cellular data.
• On iPad: Use the Medit Link Express app.
You can connect i900 Mobility wirelessly to a computer through a Wi-Fi router or wireless hub. (A hub is included in the package)
• On computer: Use the Medit Link software.
Please refer to the link below for detailed connection instructions.

⚠️ Caution
Only for the first license activation a internet connection is required; afterwards, you can use the scanner without internet through the Wireless Hub.
The i900 Mobility normally connects through a Wi-Fi router. However, in some environments the connection may be unstable. In these cases, using the Wireless Hub is recommended:
- If your router only supports 2.4 GHz – this band is prone to interference, which can affect scan data transmission.
- If your internet connection is unstable – even on 5 GHz, frequent disconnections may be due to router performance or wireless quality, not internet speed. Stable scanning depends more on router performance than on internet speed.
- If you are using an outdated router – older routers may have weak signals and cause unstable connections. Upgrading to a modern router is recommended.
- If you are on an enterprise security network – enterprise Wi-Fi security types are not supported. To use Wi-Fi, you will need a separate personal router.
- The stability of a hotspot connection may vary depending on the smartphone model and environment. Even if the hotspot allows you to select 5 GHz, or 6 GHz, scanning is generally more stable when using a Wi-Fi router. Hotspots should be considered only as a temporary solution, while in clinical environments we strongly recommend using a Wi-Fi 6E router or the Wireless Hub for reliable performance.
Please refer to the document below for detailed Wi-Fi router specifications.
[Guide] Recommended Wi-Fi Router Specifications and Installation Guide
[Wi-Fi & Wireless Hub] Can I switch the scanner connection from the Wireless Hub to a Wi-Fi router on my computer? Can I also switch from a Wi-Fi router connection back to the Wireless Hub?
Yes, you can.
Wi-Fi Router → Wireless Hub
First, disconnect the Wi-Fi connection using Pairing Manager, and then turn off the scanner.
After connecting the Wireless Hub to the PC (you can check this in Pairing Manager), turn on the scanner. The scanner can then connect through the Wireless Hub.
⚠️ Caution
Be sure to connect the Wireless Hub to the PC before turning on the scanner. If you turn on the scanner first and then connect the Wireless Hub to the PC, the scanner may connect to the Wi-Fi router instead.

[Wi-Fi & Wireless Hub] Can I use one scanner with multiple PCs?
Yes. The scanner can only connect to one PC at a time, so you must disconnect it from the current PC before connecting to another. Use the Disconnect function in the Pairing Manager to release the connection.
[Wi-Fi & Wireless Hub] If multiple scanners are registered on the PC running Medit Scan for Clinics and all of them are powered on, which scanner will be connected automatically?
If two scanners (e.g., Scanner A and Scanner B) are both registered to the same PC and powered on, the PC will normally connect automatically to the most recently connected scanner.
However, exceptions may occur. For example, if another scanner (e.g., Scanner B) sends a signal first and is recognized by the PC, that scanner may connect instead.
If you want to switch to a different scanner, you can manually change the connection using the Pairing Manager.
[Wi-Fi] What is required for Wi-Fi connection? ⭐
A router is required for Wi-Fi connection. For detailed conditions, please refer to the document below.

[Wi-Fi] What should I check if Wi-Fi connection fails with i900 Mobility? ⭐
Please refer to the document below.
[Troubleshooting] i900 Mobility Wireless Router Connection Failure
[Wi-Fi] Can I move the scanner to another location?
Yes. Just connect your iPad or computer to the Wi-Fi at the new location and restart the scanner. No extra setup is needed if it’s the same Wi-Fi network.
[Wireless Hub] Can I use one scanner with multiple hubs?
Yes. The i900 Mobility scanner is not fixed to a specific hub, so you can freely switch between different hubs. For example, if you have multiple PCs and hubs in the same space, you can move the scanner and connect it to another hub without any issues.
Conditions:
- The target PC must be running Medit Scan for Clinics or Medit Link Express.
- The scanner and PC must be connected through the same network (Wireless Hub or router).
ℹ️ Note
If the scanner has connection history with multiple PCs, it may automatically connect to the Wireless Hub/PC that responds faster.
Scanner
What are the functions of the two buttons on the scanner?
The i900 Mobility is equipped with two physical buttons, each serving different purposes:
• Top Button (Scan Button):
Press once to start or stop scanning. Additional functions can be triggered by double-pressing, triple pressing, or long-pressing.
These actions can be customized in the settings menu for user convenience.
•Bottom Button (Control Button):
This button allows you to easily manipulate the scanned data—rotate, move, zoom in/out—without a mouse or touchscreen.
Its intuitive design makes it possible to review and adjust scans directly from the scanner, improving workflow efficiency.
Does the cradle support (i.e., the Wireless Hub) wireless charging?
No. The cradle works only as a hub and does not provide wireless charging. The battery must be charged with the dedicated charger included in the package.
Tip
What tip sizes are available, and which tips are included by default?
The scanner supports three tip sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.
The standard package includes two Medium tips and two Large tips (four tips total).
All tip sizes can be purchased separately if additional tips are needed. (4 ea / 1 pack)
Are tips compatible with i900 and i900 classic?
Yes. Tips for the i900 and i900 classic are fully compatible with the i900 Mobility.
Battery
What is the proper way to remove the i900 Mobility battery? ⭐
Always power off the scanner using the power button before removing the battery. If you remove the battery during scanning, or turn the scanner off and then immediately back on, the device may repeatedly reboot or fail to reconnect properly because the program does not close correctly.
If this occurs, follow these steps:
- Remove the battery and reinsert it.
- Reboot the handpiece twice.
- Close the Medit Scan for Clinics program and restart it.
What are the recommended practices for battery use and storage?
We recommend removing the battery from the scanner after use. When attached, the internal power management system consumes a small amount of energy even when the scanner is powered off. Storing the battery separately minimizes power consumption, making it more efficient for long-term storage.
How many batteries are included, and how long does each one last?
The standard package includes three batteries.
Each battery provides about 1 hour of continuous scanning and takes roughly 2 hours to fully recharge.
What is the function of the button on the battery?
When the battery is detached: Pressing the button displays the remaining battery level.
When the battery is attached: The button is used to power the scanner on or off.
What is the Battery Management System (BMS) in i900 Mobility, and how can users make use of it?
The i900 Mobility’s Battery Management System ensures safe and efficient operation by preventing overheating, overcharging, and overvoltage, while optimizing charging speed to extend battery life.
Users can monitor battery status in real time via Medit Link or Medit Link Express, receive alerts in case of abnormal conditions, and check charging progress easily through the LED indicators on both the battery and the cradle.
