Basic i700 Wireless Connection Guidance
What type of technology is used to connect the i700 wireless scanner to the hub wirelessly?
The technique is referred to as "mmWave next-generation communication technology." In comparison to Wifi, this technology provides increased security and communication speed and is resistant to interference from other electronic waves.
What's the best spot for the wireless hub?
The wireless hub should be oriented in the receiving direction because the i700 wireless connection has very strong straightness.
What is the maximum distance between the scanner and the wireless hub that can be communicated?
The maximum distance between the scanner and the hub is 5 meters, but this distance may vary depending on the scanning environment. If a wall, glass, or human body comes between the i700 wireless and the wireless hub, the connection may be affected. However, a person passing between those points has little effect on the connection.
How should the i700 wireless scanner be held?
The transmitter(antenna) is located at the bottom region of the scanner handpiece. You must hold the scanner in such a way that it does not obscure the transmitter area. It is recommended that you use the accessory handle, and if you do not, we recommend holding the scanner in a penholder grip.
Is it possible to connect to the hub or the scanner with a device other than the original pair unit?
It is possible to connect to the hub with a device other than the original pair unit. However, multiple scanners cannot be connected to one hub unit. If you need to replace the scanner or wireless hub with a different device, please contact support@medit.com.

What happens if the wireless connection goes down while you're scanning?
Medit Scan for Clinics displays a guiding message to alert the user if the wireless connection is lost while scanning due to a power outage or certain things interfering with the scanner and the wireless hub. Despite the fact that the wireless connection fails during scanning, the scan data that has already been gathered does not vanish. In this situation, after changing the battery or removing the object that is interfering with the connection, you can scan from the prior work.

Battery and Power
How long will the UV-C LED and the battery last?
1. UV-C LED: The UV-C LED in the i700 wireless has an official lifespan of about 10 years if used 8 hours per day. It can last anywhere from 10,000 to 50,000 hours, depending on how well it is maintained. (Identical to i700's UV-C LED)
2. Battery life is 400 cycles.
Time to use: 1 hour
Time to fully charge: 2.5 to 3 hours
Time to wait: 8 hours
What if I don't switch off the scanner?
Basically, the i700 wireless is shut off after a certain amount of time to save battery life. The default time is 15 minutes, but you can adjust it in Medit Scan for Clinics' Settings > Scanner > Turn Off Scanner After. If the scanner is switched off after the time has been set, you must restart it by hitting the power button on the scanner.
Is it necessary to remove the battery from the charger once it has reached its maximum charge level?
No, you are not required to do so. When the battery is fully charged, the charger automatically turns off the electricity that is feeding the battery. (The LED remains illuminated.)
Is it feasible to utilize the 'Extension Cable Battery' in the same way that the PD cable (Power Delivery Cable for Plug & Scan) is used in the i700?
The 'Extension Cable Battery' does not support data transfer and is just used to charge the scanner.
What are the i700 wireless scanner's scanning speed and accuracy?
The frame rate is 70 frames per second (Maximum, Same as i700)
The precision is 10.9µ ±0.98. (Full-arch, Same as i700)
Is it safe to use a Medit intraoral scanner on patients with pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators?
It will not be a problem to use the scanner from a moderate distance if the distance is not too close, such as when placing the scanner on the patient's chest, where an implanted cardioverter defibrillator or pacemaker is located. Please see the relevant guidelines on the pages linked below for more information.

For specifics regarding the ICD or pacemaker used by the patient, please refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
Why does the live viewer display a color calibration image?
When using the i700 wireless scanner to scan, the image used for color calibration may appear on the screen. This occurs when the scanner's wireless connection to the wireless hub gets weak. The image ends in less than a second. Therefore, you can safely disregard it, as it has no influence on the scanning performance or the collected data.
