1. Set GPU driver
1-1. Update the GPU driver to the latest version.
For example, if you are using NVIDIA GeForce (the i900+laptop bundle uses this GPU), navigate to https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/download/ and download and install the latest version of GeForce Experience.
Run GeForce Experience. (Log in or register your NVIDIA account)
Download and install the latest version driver.
1-2. Set the GPU Control Panel.
Run "NVIDIA Control Panel" via the search bar.
On the left, select the "Manage 3D Settings" tab and set the Preferred graphics processor to "High-performance NVIDIA processor."
On the left, select the "Configure Surround, PhysX" tab and set Processor to the installed GPU instead of Auto-select.
2. Set Windows Defender
2-1. Windows defender exclusion
Run "Windows Security" via the search bar.
From the left panel, click "Virus & threat protection."
Under the Virus & threat protection settings, select "Manage settings."
Under Exclusions, select "Add or remove exclusions."
Click "+Add an exclusion," and add the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Medit
C:\ProgramData\Medit
C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Medit
2-2. Windows Defender Firewall
Run "Allow an app through Windows Firewall" via the search bar.
Click "Change settings."
Click "Allow another app...," then the "Browse..." button.
Open and add the following paths one by one:
C:\Program Files\Medit\Medit Link\Medit Link\Medit_iScan.exe
C:\Program Files\Medit\Medit Link\Medit Link\Medit_Link.exe
C:\Program Files\Medit\Medit Link\Medit Link\Medit_tScan.exe
C:\Program Files\Medit\Medit Link\Medit Link\Medit_Link_TaskManager.exe
C:\Program Files\Medit\Medit Link\MeditUpdateManager\MeditUpdateManager.exe
And allow both private and public permissions as shown below.
3. Set Power plan
Note
The high-performance or USB settings option used in this process may not be provided depending on the PC manufacturer, even if you are using Windows 11. In this case, skip this process.
Search for and run "Edit power plan" via the search bar.
Go back to a directory to "Power Options" by clicking on the directory name.
Next, click "Create a Power Plan."
Name your plan, select the "High performance" plan, and click next.
Adjust the settings as in the image below and click "Create."
Then, you will return to the original power option window.
Click on your new plan, then select the "Change plan settings" option.
Click on "Change Advanced Power Settings."
Then, expand the "USB settings" tab.
Disable both settings ("On battery" and "Plugged in"). Once finished, click "Apply" to save the changes.
