Symptom
When installing a new scanner, warranty activation does not occur.
Even though the internet is connected, the software prompts to connect to the internet.
Points to Check
1. Network Connection Status
To access the license server, the internet must be connected, and communication with the Medit license server should be established.
If you are using a network from a military base or a large hospital, and access to external servers is blocked, you will not be able to connect to the Medit license server.
In some cases, certain VPN providers may have issues connecting to the Medit license server.
2. UTC Standard Time Check
If the PC's settings are outside the UTC standard time zone, it may cause issues due to a mismatch between the server and PC times.
Troubleshooting
1. Check Network Connection
Ensure that the internet is connected and confirm that Medit Link switches to online mode.
If using a VPN, try connecting to a network that doesn't use VPN settings.
2. Adjust PC Time Settings
Go to Windows Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time > [Set time zone automatically], [Set time automatically]
Change two option from On > Off > On. (This is a method to reconnect to Microsoft's time server.)
Ensure the internet is connected during this process.
3. Domain and SSL Port Exception Settings
When using a secured network such as a military base or large hospital, the Medit program may not function properly if it cannot connect to external servers.
In this case, the following domains and SSL ports must be exempted from blocking.
