Symptom
When connecting the scanner, a message appears stating that the license is invalid or has expired, making it impossible to establish a connection.
Points to Check
1. Network Connection Status
To access the license server, the internet must be connected, and communication with the Medit license server should be established.
If you are using a network from a military base or a large hospital, and access to external servers is blocked, you will not be able to connect to the Medit license server.
In some cases, certain VPN providers may have issues connecting to the Medit license server.
3. UTC Standard Time Check
If the PC's settings are outside the UTC standard time zone, it may cause issues due to a mismatch between the server and PC times.
3. Check for License Blockage
To check the license status and reason for blockage, please contact our support team by submitting a request.

Troubleshooting
1. Check Network Connection
Ensure that the internet is connected and confirm that Medit Link switches to online mode.
If using a VPN, try connecting to a network that doesn't use VPN settings.
2. Adjust PC Time Settings
Go to Windows Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time > [Set time zone automatically], [Set time automatically]
Change two option from On > Off > On. (This is a method to reconnect to Microsoft's time server.)
Ensure the internet is connected during this process.
3. Regenerate License File
The saved license file may be corrupted.
By deleting the existing license file, the software will automatically download a new license file from the server.
1) Navigate to the folder: C:\ProgramData\Medit\Medit Device\License\Handheld Scanner
2) Backup and delete the .mlk2 file that matches the serial number
3) Confirm Medit Link is in online mode and then launch Medit Scan for Clinics
4) The software will automatically download the .mlk2 file from the server
4. Domain and SSL Port Exception Handling
If you are using a network with enhanced security, such as a military base or large hospital, the Medit software may fail to connect to external servers and operate normally.
In this case, exceptions should be set for the domains and SSL ports listed below.
