Symptoms
The message "Synchronization failed(Error Code: 5)" appears when you log into the Medit Link program.
Solutions
1. Close the Medit Link application if it is still open.
2. Depending on your operating system, perform the following steps.
Windows
- Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Medit\Medit Link\Database\Operation.
- Open File Explorer from the taskbar to see hidden files and folders.
- Change the folder and search options by going to View > Options.
- Select the View tab and, in the Advanced settings, check the box for Show hidden files, folders, and drives before clicking OK.
macOS
- In Finder your Mac, navigate to Apple Menu > Go > Computer > Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Medit > Medit Link > Database > Operation.
3. Back up any "Data Base File" or "OFF file" files to a secure location.
4. Delete everything in the "Operation" folder.
5. Relaunch the Medit Link application.
6. Verify that the synchronization is working properly.
7. If the synchronization problem (error code 5) persists, or if you are unable to view the case list view or go offline, please contact support@medit.com.
