Symptoms
After completing the scan and the scanning software has closed normally, the case status in Medit Link is displayed as “Need Processing” and processing does not start.
In some cases, it is displayed as “Form Only”, where the original data exists but processing does not start.
Point to Check
1. Need Processing Status
- This means that the original data exists but there is no result data.
- If Medit Task Manager (processing app) is running normally, you can manually start processing by clicking the “Need Processing” icon.
- If processing does not start, it is highly likely that Medit Task Manager has crashed (is frozen) in Windows. In this case, you need to restart Medit Task Manager.
2. Form Only Status
- Unlike “Need Processing,” you cannot start processing by clicking the status icon.
- In this case, restart Medit Link to run Medit Task Manager again, then enter the scanning software and complete the scan again.
Troubleshooting
1. Close Medit Link
- Completely exit Medit Link and wait about 20 seconds.
2. Check Medit Task Manager Running Status
- Open Windows Task Manager → check the “Details” tab to see if Medit_Link_TaskManager.exe is running.
3. Force Quit Medit Task Manager (if necessary)
- If it is still running, forcibly close it using End Task.
4. Restart Medit Link and Retry Processing
- Run Medit Link again, then click the Need Processing icon to restart processing.
5. Reboot PC (if necessary)
- If processing still does not start after completing the above 4 steps, reboot the PC.
6. Retry Processing After Reboot
- After rebooting, click the “Need Processing” icon to retry processing.
- If the status is Form Only, you must enter the scanning software again and complete the scan completion process again.
