Symptoms
- The Medit Scan for Clinics program fails to update the license, and the message "The license is invalid" pops up.
- The scan process can't be started.
Solutions
This issue occurs because Windows Security controls folder access. Controlled folder access in Windows Security reviews the apps that can make changes to files. Occasionally, this might interfere with how you normally use your PC. You can switch off Controlled folder access or add the Medit Scan for Clinics app to the allowed list to prevent it from being blocked.
1. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
2. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
3. Under Controlled folder access, select Manage Controlled folder access.
4. Switch the Controlled folder access setting to Off.
- If you leave the Controlled folder access setting to On, click Allow an app through Controlled folder access and then, add "Medit Scan for Clinics.exe" and "Medit_Link.exe" to the list.
