Symptoms
In the case that two or more devices under the COM & LPT ports of the Device Manger use the same Port, the Medit Scan for Clinics program informs you of a connection error.
Solution
1. Open Device Manager first. Right-click on the "Medit Controller (COM #)" and choose "Properties" from the context menu.
2. From the "Port Settings" menu, choose "Advanced."
3. Change the port number to another one that is available. Then, press "OK."
4. Right-click on the "Medit Controller (COM #)" once more and choose "Disable." Then, enable the device back again.
