Troubleshooting
Processing issues mainly occur when calculations fail due to excessive noise in the scan data or insufficient system RAM. When this issue occurs, the final 3D mesh data may not be generated.
1. Check the Medit Link version
Make sure Medit Link is up to date. If you are not using the latest version, update it.
2. Back up the case
To safely preserve the original data during troubleshooting, it is recommended to duplicate the case and keep the duplicate as a backup.
3. Launch Medit Scan for Clinics
In Medit Scan for Clinics, click the Scan button to open the affected case.
If the “Failed to Open” message appears, the original scan data may be corrupted.
4. Optimize the data
At each scan stage, use the trimming tools to remove unnecessary soft tissue and noisy scan data. Then click the Optimize button to reduce the data size and minimize noise in the scan data.
5. Run processing again
Click the Complete button to process the case again.
Prevention Tips
- Always keep Medit Link up to date.
- Keep the scan tip clean to minimize noise in the scan data.
- Use the Optimize feature at each scan stage to optimize the data in advance.
- Close unnecessary programs running in the background before processing.
