Affected Scanner Models

The following information applies to all scanner models listed above.
Symptom
The scanner's power button is pressed, but the power does not turn on.
Points to Check
The power issue in the scanner can be caused by various factors:
- Power button failure: i500 / i600 / i700 / i700 wireless
- Internal scanner component failure
- Accessory failure
- Insufficient power from USB-C port: i600, i700 (Plug & Scan) / i900 / i900 classic
- User error (poor accessory connection)
- User error (handpiece cover(cap) not removed): i900 / i900 classic
- Recognition Error of Blue Color Inside M Tip: i900 / i900 Classic
Troubleshooting
1. Adapter Check: i500 / i600, i700 (Standard Scan)
Verify if the green power LED on the adapter is lit to confirm the adapter is working properly.
2. Scanner Connection Check
Check the connections for each scanner model to verify if there is poor contact.

2. USB-C Port Check Verify on the laptop manufacturer's website whether the USB-C port supports Power Delivery (PD) functionality. Attempt connecting to a different USB-C port that supports PD functionality.

3. Change Connection Method i600, i700 Try connecting using a PD hub, a USB 3.0 cable, and a power adapter for a Standard Scan. | - |

2. Change Connection Method Check if the laptop has a USB-C port that supports Power Delivery. If it does, attempt connecting with the PD cable only for Plug & Scan. | - |
3. Power Button Check: i500 / i600 / i700 / i700 wireless
Verify if you feel a click when pressing the power button. Check if the button is not stuck or malfunctioning.
4. Battery Check: i700 wireless
1) Check if the battery is fully charged and if there is any debris on the battery contact points, then reattach it.
2) Try inserting a fully charged spare battery.
3) Try using an extension cable battery.
5. Handpiece Cover(Cap) Check: i900, i900 classic
Ensure the handpiece cover has been removed.
6. Medium Size Tip Check: i900 / i900 classic
The blue color inside the M Tip may be incorrectly recognized as the cyan color of the handpiece cover (cap), which could be causing the issue.
To verify the problem, try installing a different size tip, such as the Large Tip.
1) When the Large Tip is installed and works normally → Possible issue with color distortion inside the Medium Tip → Replace with another M Tip
2) If the Large Tip still does not work → Check the connection accessories (PD cable)
7. Cross-check Accessories
Try connecting with different accessories (PD cable, USB 3.0 cable, PD hub).
