Symptoms
The following error message appears when you launch the Medit Scan for Clinics program.
Solutions
❏ Check and install Windows updates.
❏ Check the i500 power hub connection.
(A) Unlike the conventional i500 power hub, the port entrance of the new hub is about 3mm countersunk.
(B) Make sure the cable is going all the way into the port.
1. Open the Device Manager and check if there is a USB Serial Port(COMxx).
2. Right-click on USB Serial Converter.
3. Click Properties and select the Advanced tab.
4. Enable Local VCP.
5. Update the motherboard chipset driver.
6. Uninstall the Medit Link application and reinstall it via www.meditlink.com.
7. Restart the i500 and see if the program is working properly.
8. If the problem persists, try another USB 3.0 cable.
