The following information applies to all scanner models listed above.
Symptom
When attempting to connect the scanner, a message appears stating that the .ioscn file does not match the current device, and the connection fails.
Points to Check
The .ioscn file is an important configuration file that must match the scanner device information. If this file is corrupted or does not match the current device information, a connection error may occur.
Troubleshooting
1. Enable Online Mode
To automatically download the .ioscn file, Medit Link must be in online mode.
Exit Medit Scan for Clinics and ensure that Medit Link is in online mode.
2. Delete the .ioscn File
Make sure Medit Scan for Clinics is completely closed before proceeding.
Navigate to the following path:
C:\ProgramData\Medit\Medit Device\Calibration\Handheld Scanner
Find the .ioscn file that matches the scanner currently in use and delete it.
3. Automatic Download of .ioscn File
Once the file is deleted, reopen Medit Scan for Clinics.
The software will automatically download a new .ioscnfile from the Medit Link central server, resolving the connection issue.
