VDDS Integration App Manual
Integration Overview
This application facilitates connection between Medit Link and VDDS-integrated patient management software (PMS), minimizing manual handling of patient data on the Medit Link side. The integration app will add a link to the VDDS menu of your PMS for the direct launch of Medit Link. And afterward, it will operate according to the following two scenarios:
1. When launching Medit Link from the PMS for the first time for a patient, the program will automatically register the patient in Medit Link with the provided details and start a new case under their record.
2. When launching Medit Link from the PMS for the same patient again, users are prompted to choose between creating a new case or browsing the existing ones.
To enable the above workflows, users must complete the initial setup upon downloading this integration app from App Box in Medit Link. Read the walkthrough for the setup below.
How to complete the initial setup?
Before proceeding with the setup, you must ensure that the VDDS configuration file named “VDDS_MMI.INI” exists in the Windows folder of your C Drive (C:\Windows). If you do not find this file, contact your PMS company to activate the VDDS.
The setup can be completed automatically by using the provided installation file (RegisterVddsMedia.exe). Follow the below instructions on how to find and run it.
1. Open File Explorer and input the following address in the address bar.
C:\ProgramData\Medit\Medit Link Add-in\Medit_VDDS_x64
2. In the opened folder, find the “RegisterVddsMedia.exe” file. Right-click it and choose “Run as administrator.”
3. The installation wizard will launch. Use the arrow keys to select the “Install” command and press the Enter key.
4. Once the installation is completed, open your PMS and find the Medit Link launching feature under the VDDS function.
If the automatic installation does not work, you will need to make changes to the specified file yourself. Follow the below instructions for manual configuration.

[BVS] NAME1=A Software NAME2=B Software NAME3=MeditLink |
Case 2: Under [BVS], the numbers listed next to the keyword “NAME” follow a consecutive order but have a missing number, as in the example below:

[BVS] NAME1=A Software NAME2=MeditLink NAME3=B Software |
Case 3: There is no [BVS] part. In that case, add the following at the bottom.

5. Then, add the following at the bottom of “VDDS_MMI.INI” file:
[MeditLink] NAME=MeditLink PATDATIMPORT=C:\\ProgramData\\Medit\\Medit Link Add-in\\Medit_VDDS_x64\\PATDATIMPORT.exe PATDATIMPORT_OS=1 VERSION=3.2.1 |
