Search Operators
You can use search operators for more precise results.
Search Operator | Description | Example |
---|---|---|
" " | Search for exact phrase | "edentulous scan" |
- | Exclude specific term(s) | calibration -troubleshooting -collab |
" " AND " " | Include all keywords | "cleaning" AND "i900" |
⚠️ Caution
You must enter AND in uppercase for it to work.
If you enter terms with a space (e.g., cleaning i900), or use lowercase and (e.g., cleaning and i900),
documents that include both keywords will appear first, and those with only one keyword will appear later.
Search Scope
Search results vary depending on where you perform the search.
Home Screen Search
This is the initial screen you see when accessing the Help Center, with category boxes.
A search here retrieves results from all Help Center articles.
Category Page Search
The screen below appears when you click on an FAQ box from the home screen. This FAQ is a category.
In this FAQ category view, the bolded texts Troubleshooting and Support refer to sections, which are subcategories of the category.
Below each section, if the title has a > icon, it represents a subsection. If there’s no > icon, it is the title of an article.
- Section names: Troubleshooting, Support
- Subsection names: Scanner Hardware, Medit Link
- Article titles: [Troubleshooting] Intraoral Scanner Calibration Issue,
How to check the scanner's serial number
When you search from the category screen, only documents within that category are searched.
Even if you navigate into a section/subsection/article page from a category, the search results will include documents from the entire parent category, not just that section.
Language
Search only applies to documents in the currently selected language.
Usage Example
Some technical or medical terms may be more familiar in English.
In such cases, try searching in English to find the document first. Then, open the document and use the language selector in the top right corner of the page to switch to your preferred language.
⚠️ Caution
If you change the language on the search results screen, the search results will reload.
Generative Search
When you enter keywords or a natural language question, you’ll receive a summarized answer with references based on relevant documents.
