Medit scanners are supported by several software components: Medit Link Web, Medit Link App, Medit Scan for Clinics, Medit Scan for Labs, and Medit Apps. Here is a brief overview of their roles and interactions.
※ This image represents the workflow based on a basic data flow.
For detailed information about data flow, refer to the article, Methods for Transferring Storage Data.
Medit Link Web primarily serves as a platform for connecting clinics and labs as partners.
Medit Link App has two main roles:
1. Facilitates orders between clinics and labs. (Also available on Medit Link Web.)
2. Serves as a central hub for scan data exchange between Medit Scan for Clinics/Labs and Medit Apps.
Medit Scan for Clinics acquires scan data using an intraoral scanner.
Medit Scan for Labs acquires scan data using a tabletop scanner.
Medit Apps is a collective term for various applications, each designed to utilize scan data for specific purposes.
In short, scan data from an intraoral scanner is collected via Medit Scan for Clinics, stored in Medit Link, edited using Medit Apps, and then sent to a lab as an order through Medit Link.
ℹ️ Note
Both Medit Apps and third-party apps can be accessed through App Box in the Medit Link App.
For an overview of each app, please refer to the linked articles:
