Maintenance
If the scanner has not been used for a long time, check whether it is properly installed and calibrated before reuse. (The recommended calibration period is one month.)
Ensure the scanner is acquiring scan data properly.
To prevent moisture from entering the scanner, regularly wipe it with a dry cloth.
Always unplug the power cable before inspecting the scanner.
Do not spray scan spray on the scanner body or moving parts.
Lens Cleaning Guide
The lens of the intraoral scanner is a precision optical component. Unnecessary contact may cause surface damage or degrade performance. Minor dust on the lens surface usually does not affect scanning and can be sufficiently removed with an air blower.
It is best to avoid touching the lens whenever possible. Only clean the lens following the instructions below if removal with an air blower is insufficient.
1. Preparation
Turn off the scanner before cleaning the lens.
Wear anti-static gloves to prevent electrostatic damage.
2. Dust Removal
Inspect the lens surface and gently remove dust or debris using an air blower.
Avoid blowing strong air directly and perpendicularly onto the lens.
3. Lens Cleaning
For stains, fingerprints, etc. that cannot be removed with an air blower, use distilled water, lens cleaner, or disinfectant-grade denatured alcohol (60–70%). Apply it to a dry, non-abrasive microfiber cloth designed for optical equipment and wipe gently.
4. Drying
Use a clean, dry cloth to gently remove any remaining moisture from the lens.
⚠️ Caution
-
Do not use rough cloths or paper towels, which may scratch the lens surface.
-
Do not use strong chemical agents, as they may damage the coating.
-
Do not apply excessive pressure when cleaning the lens.
-
Do not spray liquid directly onto the lens; always apply it to the cloth first.
