Symptoms
Fail to connect to the scanner with a USB-C direct connection.
Solution
1. Check the symbol on the USB-C port on your PC to find out whether the port is a Power Delivery enabled port available for Plug & Scan. 5 Volt and 3 Amp are required to provide power with a direct connection using the Power Delivery cable.
💡 Depending on the PC manufacturer, the conditions of providing power via a Power Delivery enabled port may not be met with the Plug & Scan requirements. In this case, it is recommended to use the Power Hub to connect the scanner with the PC.
2. Check Windows for updates.
3. Update chipset(motherboard) drivers.
4. Reinstall the Medit Link application.
5. Check if the scanner is powering on (Blue light).
6. Try with another Power delivery cable.
7. Update your PC's BIOS.
8. Test if the scanner works properly when using the Power Hub accessory.
9. Check if Medit Devices and Medit Controller show up on the Device Manager.
10. If your scanner fails to connect to your PC via Thunderbolt 4 port using the cable that came along with the scanner, you may test the connection using a different Thunderbolt 4 certified passive cable, which is currently available on the market. It's because, depending on the PC manufacturer, the connection using Thunderbolt 4 uncertified cable does not allow the port to operate the peripheral device properly. In this case, the Power Delivery cable bundled in your i700 package is not able to connect your i700 scanner to the PC.
The warning message given below will be shown when the connection works using a different cable. You may ignore the message by clicking "Confirm."
