In Define library > Create margin line, you can create and save margin lines for stock abutment so that those margin lines can be loaded when the same abutment is selected.
1. Scan the dental arch.
2. Select AI abutment matching.
3. Click the Define library button.
4. Select an abutment to use and click Create margin line.
5. Draw a margin line on the abutment, and click Save.
6. Select a tooth that the abutment needs to be assigned to, and click Assign.
7. Scan the selected tooth area.
- When scan data is acquired sufficiently, the system automatically aligns the abutment with the scan data, and the height of the abutment is automatically adjusted as well.
- If the automatic alignment or the height adjustment is unsatisfactory, you can align the abutment or adjust the height of the abutment manually.
8. After exiting from the AI abutment matching mode, in the scan stage, you can check the margin line as well.
9. Click Complete to create the final result. And then, check if there is a file for the created margin line in Medit Link app. > Case Box > Case detail.
10. Open the case in exocad, and then you can see that the margin line is properly loaded.

Auto creation
- The system automatically creates a margin line by calculating all control points.
Manual creation
- Upon completing a closed curve by manually adding control points, a margin line is created.
Edit
- enables the edit mode that the user can add, move, or remove control points.
Delete
- deletes a created margin line.
Confirm
- applies a created margin line by tooth.
