The computer used to connect to the intraoral scanner must meet the system requirements for Medit Scan for Clinics.

The computer used to connect to the Tabletop scanner(T-series lab scanner) must meet the system requirements for Medit Scan for Labs or colLab(old version lab scanner software).

Medit Scan for Labs Requirement (and colLab Requirement)

⚠️Caution

The T-series scanner system is unavailable for Windows 32 bit and Mac OS.
Medit T-series scanner is designed to use a USB 3.0 connection.

1.Ensure the scanner is connected via a USB 3.0 port.
2.Before installing the scan software, please update Windows, graphics card, and USB device drivers. Windows system should be up-to-date to ensure the USB 3.0 port is working properly.

How to Check Your System Information

On Windows 10, you can check your system information using following method:

Type System information in the search box on your taskbar.
Right-click on either the My Computer or This PC icon and then click the Properties tab.
Open Settings > System > About.

The exact name of your graphics card is available in the Windows Display Settings. You can check it by using the following method:

Type Control Panel in the search box on your taskbar, and then go to Control Panel > System > Device manager > Display adapters. Expand Display adapters to check the graphics card.

Essential Tips to Know Before Buying a PC

❏ PC type and operating system (OS)

Either a desktop or laptop will work. Both will allow you to operate the Medit intraoral scanner using the scan image acquisition software, Scan for Clinics.
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro is recommended. The Medit Link application and the scan image acquisition program are developed and tested based on the latest version of Windows 10 Pro.

❏ CPU and Graphics card

Click the link below and check If your desktop PC or a laptop can run your i500/i700 scanner reliably referring to the Frame Per Second(FPS) level.

❏ Storage and cloud

NVMe or SSD is recommended to ensure fast and sustained read-write speed.
If you partition the disk for OS, after installing the Medit Link application, select the storage disk in which scan data will be stored.
When your PC is running out of room, you can free up the drive space by cleaning up the data created by using the Medit Link application. To find out more, see this article: Disk cleanup

❏ Internet speed

We do not have a set minimum speed requirement because there are external factors that can affect network speed. As a general rule, the Medit Link application connected to your network should have a stable network connection of at least 10Mbps (both upload and download). However, at least 25Mbps is required to ensure a smooth upload and download of large scan data.
