🔍 Use of Dynamic Occlusion Data in exocad

💡The usage method described here can be used only with the latest version of exocad.

1. When the case is completed after recording the patient's actual mandibular movement using the "Mandibular Movement" function of Medit Scan for Clinics, up to 8 Dynamic Occlusion data are created in Medit Link. (4 types of mandibular movements for each upper and lower jaw)

2. If Medit Link and exocad are already linked, run exocad directly from DentalCAD Integration app of the case.

3. Complete the outer shape design of the dental restoration in exocad.

4. If Medit Link and exocad are not linked, manually import Dynamic Occlusion data into exocad.

5. After changing to "Expert" mode, right-click the antagonists in the "Show/Hide > Visualization meshes" tab at the top left to enter the "Function Menu." After that, select "Convert visualization object(s) to antagonists..." to apply in turn.

6. Adjust the dental occlusion using the "Static Occlusion" slider in the "Free-Forming" tool. You can see that the dental occlusion is adjusted according to the motion recorded in the Dynamic Occlusion data.

7. Using Dynamic Occlusion data, accurate dental restorations can be fabricated taking into account the patient's central occlusion and the right lateral/left lateral/protrusive movement of the mandible. As a result, occlusal adjustment of dental restorations in the patient's mouth can be minimized, which is beneficial for shortening chair time.
