Formlab preset

Make the appropriate adjustments to the following parameters for each Medit App in order to use Formlabs equipment. 

The article contains the following sections:

• Temporaries > Single crown eggshells
• Temporaries > Single crown temporaries
• Model Builder > Solid model
• Model Builder > Hollow models with drain holes
• Model Builder > Solid model with extra dies

Temporaries > Single Crown Eggshells

After performing the process of Assign Data > Eggshell-type Crown > Select Tooth > Select Tooth Margin in the Medit Temporaries app, you can set it as follows in Design Mode > Inner Surface.

• The only thing that needs to be changed is the restoration thickness to 0.5mm.

 

 Temporaries > Single Crown Temporaries

After performing the process of Assign Data > Temporary Crown > Select Tooth > Select Tooth Margin in the Medit Temporaries app, you can set it as follows in Design Mode > Inner Surface.

• The only thing that needs to be changed is the cement thickness to 0.05mm.

 

 Model Builder > Solid model

In the Medit Model Builder app, you can set it as follows in Base Creation Mode > Hollow Shape > Wall Thickness (mm).

• Deactivate the "Hollow Shape" feature by unchecking the toggle.

 

 Model Builder > Hollow models with drain holes

In the Medit Model Builder app, you can set it as follows in Base Creation Mode > Create Drain Holes.

• Activate the "Hollow Shape" feature by checking the toggle.
• Set the "Wall Thickness" to 3.0mm.
• Select the "Create Drain Holes" option.
• Turn on the option to "Create Drain Holes."
• The drain holes should be set to four.
• The diameter of the drain hole should be set to 4.0 mm.

 

 Model Builder > Solid model with extra dies

In the Medit Model Builder app, you can set it as follows in Die Creation Mode > Die Option.

• Fill in the "Extra Gap from Margin (mm)" box with 0.30 mm.
• The "Margin Trimming Depth (mm)" should be set to 0.20 mm.
• The "Margin Extrusion Length (mm)" should be set to 0.15 mm.
