Where can I get the colLab software?
The colLab software is contained on the USB flash drive that comes with the scanner package. You can also get the installer file from the following websites.

Even after signing up, I am unable to access the program.
The program sends a verification email after you sign up. You will be able to log in to the program once the email verification is complete.
How do I get my scanner registered in colLab?
1. Launch the colLab program and navigate to Option > UpdateAgent.
2. Log into the program and navigate to the Add Scanner tab.
3. Enter your Medit product's serial number and complete the product registration.

How do I get my forgotten password back?
Reset your password as follows:
1. Go to Option > UpdateAgent.
2. Select the Login option.
3. Click the Find Password button and enter the email address you used to sign up.
4. You will be able to reset your password once your email has been verified.
Are there any costs associated with colLab updates?
The colLab software is free, and all updates are available online for free.
How do I configure colLab for automatic updates?
1. Go to Option > Settings.
2. Turn on Auto Update > Auto Installation (recommended). When you enable this, the software will prompt you to download and install updates whenever they become available.
Where can I find the release notes?
1. Go to Option > UpdateAgent.
2. After logging in, go to the Online Update tab to see the release notes.
How do I get the PNL file for my scanner?
[1] Using the serial number of the scanner, you can download the PNL file from colLab version 2.0.0.4 via the calibration wizard.
- Click the Calibration button.
- Select Barcode and click the Confirm button if you do not have the PNL file. The scanner will scan the barcode and begin downloading the PNL file from the internet. When the download is finished, the scanner will begin the calibration process. To finish the process, make sure your computer is connected to the internet.
- If your scanner is older than the T-series, select Input the number and enter the serial number found at the bottom of the calibration panel. When you click the Confirm button, the system will begin downloading the corresponding PNL file from the internet. When the download is finished, the system will begin the calibration process automatically. To finish the process, make sure your computer is connected to the internet.

Where is the calibration PNL file stored on my computer?
If you have not moved the file, by default, the PNL file is stored on the following location.
C:\Users\USER NAME\Documents\Medit\colLab\colLabScan\
Where does scan data reside on a local disk?
By default, scan data is stored in the following location if the user has not changed the storage location:
C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Documents\Medit\colLab\MeditProjectData
You can also relocate it in Settings.
: Select Settings by clicking the Gear icon.
: To change the storage location, click the folder icon.
Is it possible to use my scanbody libraries in the colLab software?
[1] Place your scanbody libraries in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Medit\colLab\colLabScan\ImplantLibrary
- The libraries that have been added can be found in the scanbody alignment stage.
[2] When using the advanced scanbody alignment feature, you can add your scanbody libraries.
- To add libraries during the implant stage, click the Add button.

- Favorite: Favorite libraries are displayed.
- Category: displays all stored libraries organized by manufacturer or type.
- Index: The index is used to find a library.
- Add: adds a new library to the list.

Can I use the scan data in a CAD program other than exocad?
Scan data generated by Medit scanners can be used in CAD software other than exocad.
- In the colLab Scan program, go to the Scan option.
- Change the Design (CAD) software supplier option to match the CAD software you intend to use.
- When this option is selected, the scan data's X, Y, and Z orientations become compatible with the desired CAD software.
When the occlusal scan data is unsatisfactory, do I need to rescan all?
Not necessarily. You can load the maxilla and mandible data by using the Import mesh feature, and then rescan the occlusion only.
Is it possible to filp the occlusion data that was scanned upside down?
Yes, you can use the Flip Occlusion feature to change the position of the occlusion.
