The Global Soft Tissue Filtering feature serves to auto-delete scan data, such as the cheek or the tongue, which the system recognizes as noise. This feature is especially useful when scanning the buccal side of a mandibular arch in which soft tissue retraction is very challenging, as it prevents acquiring scan data from the tongue.
 How to use
1. Start iScan, and click the Menu button in the Title Bar.
2. Click the Settings button to open the settings pane.
3. Activate the Global Soft Tissue Filtering (Beta) feature.
⚠︎ When this feature is turned on, the transition time between the scan stages is likely to take longer than when it is disabled; deleting the noise data requires additional processing time.
 Cautionary tip
⚠️ Global soft tissue filtering is a beta feature that we're providing early access to. Be mindful that, when trying out this feature, some parts of your scan data may keep disappearing if there is a misaligned data that could be identified as noise. In this case, it is recommended to align the scan data by performing optimization.
