The High Resolution Scan function allows the scanner to capture high-resolution scan data for an entire or partial area. During post-processing, iScan will mix both the high-resolution scan data and the standard resolution scan data to produce a smoothly merged result. If the High Resolution Scan function is used, the processing time will be longer than when using the standard resolution mode. However, you will get a more detailed scan data.
 How to use
(1) You can switch the High Resolution Scan mode on and off by clicking the command option button.
(2) It is recommended to set the model display mode to Texture off while scanning since you will be able to check where you have scanned in the High Resolution Scan mode.
Texture On: Displays the model with color texture.
Texture Off: Displays the model without color texture.
Tips to use the High Resolution Scan mode
- It is useful for cases where you need to scan prepared teeth or scanbodies which require more intricate details.
- Switch on the High Resolution Scan mode when you scan the area which requires more details and switch off the mode to continue to other areas. In this way, the final output will be a mix of both high-resolution scan data and standard resolution scan data.
When the color texture option is turned off, the high-resolution scan area and standard resolution scan area will be shown in different colors.
