The image acquisition software, Medit Scan for Clinics, is optimized for scanning a human case, however, as long as the scan area of an animal's mouth isn't too big to affect the accuracy of the scan result, the i500 should also be able to create scan data. While the Medit i500 is intended to use on human patients, the decision to use it for veterinary dentistry should be left with the decision of the veterinarian.
