[colLab] A wax-up bottom using the flexible multi-die

 

1. Create form information by entering tooth type, option, and notes, and then click Save & Scan.

2. Complete the scan strategy setting, and click Confirm.

• Flexible multi-die > Base
• Enable the Wax-up bottom option.

3. Scan the bottom surface of the wax-up and the maxillary model.

• The flexible multi-die allows the user to have a variety of scan strategies and can be used for most cases except for occlusion scan.

 

4. Scanning the wax-up and the maxilla is complete.

• Check whether all scan images are acquired for necessary areas. If not, perform additional scan.

5. Referring to teeth numbers, which appear on the bottom-left, mark all teeth on the scan data, and click Confirm.

6. Scan the mandible and the prepped teeth. After scan, referring to teeth numbers, mark all teeth on the scan data, and click Confirm.

7. Scan the maxilla and the wax-up. After scan, referring to teeth numbers, mark all teeth on the scan data, and click Confirm.

8. Scan the occlusion.

• Check whether all scan images are acquired for necessary areas. If not, perform additional scan.

9. Align the prepped teeth and the maxilla.

• 1 point or 3 points can be used for alignment.
• Mark alignment points onto the maxilla and the prepped tooth respectively.

10. Align the wax-up and the maxilla.

• 1 point or 3 points can be used for alignment.
• Mark alignment points onto the maxilla and the wax-up respectively.

11. Align the wax-up bottom and the maxilla.

• 1 point or 3 points can be used for alignment.
• Mark alignment points onto the maxilla and the wax-up respectively.

12. Align the mandible and the occlusion by manual.

• 1 point or 3 points can be used for alignment.
• Mark alignment points onto the mandible and the occlusion respectively.

13. The alignment has been completed.

• Remove unnecessary scan data by using editing tools, and then click Next to start the merging process.

14. Check the merged scan data, and click Exit to save and complete the case.
