1. Create form information by entering tooth type, option, and notes, and then click Save & Scan.
2. Complete the scan strategy setting, and click Confirm.
- Scan model type > model
- Maxilla > base
- Occlusion scan type > A7+
3. Detach the maxilla from the articulator and insert the maxilla model to the scanner. Adjust the scan depth, and start scan.
- Set the scan depth adequately so that scan data contains less unnecessary areas, which saves the lead time of the merging process later on.
- Check whether all scan images are acquired for necessary areas. If not, perform additional scan.
4. Scan the mandible in the same way as the maxilla.
5. Scan the mounting plate.
- Place the mandible model upside down onto the flexible multi-die.
6. Scanning the mounting plate has been completed.
- Check whether all scan images are acquired for necessary areas. If not, perform additional scan.
7. Scan the occlusion.
- Remove the half block jigs and attach the articulator plate.
- Place the articulator onto the articulator plate in a way that the occlusion faces towards the cameras.
8. Scanning the occlusion is complete.
- Check whether all scan images are acquired for necessary areas. If not, perform additional scan.
9. Align the mandible and the occlusion by manual.
- 1 point or 3 points can be used for alignment.
- Mark alignment points onto the mandible and the occlusion respectively.
10. Align the mounting plate scan data and the virtual plate data.
- 1 point or 3 points can be used for alignment.
- Mark alignment points onto both data respectively.
11. Align the maxilla and the occlusion by manual.
- 1 point or 3 points can be used for alignment.
- Mark alignment points onto the maxilla and the occlusion respectively.
12. The alignment has been completed.
- Remove unnecessary scan data by using editing tools, and then click Next to start the merging process.
13. Check the merged scan data, and click Exit to save and complete the case.
