[1] Installation Precautions
- Install the scanner in a place unexposed to water, high air pressure, high temperature, moisture, dust, salt, ions, and other environmental factors.
- The scanner should be placed in a stable position to avoid the possibility of vibration or noise.
- Do not install the machine in a chemical storage area, or any place where there are gas emissions.
- Do not block the air vents. If you do that, the scanner may overheat.
- Be sure the voltage and frequency where you connect the scanner are the same as specified on the rating plate on the scanner.
[2] Precautions before using the machine
- Make sure that every component is correctly connected and fixed.
- Make sure that the scanner is correctly recognized in your Windows' Device Manager.
- Always carry your scanner by supporting the bottom of the scanner with both hands.
- Do not move or pull the scanner by applying force to its scanning arm.
[3] Precautions when using the machine
- Do not apply shock or vibration to the scanner while using it.
- Do not turn off the power while using the scanner.
- Do not block the air vents. If you do that, the scanner may overheat.
- If there is smoke or a strange smell, immediately turn off the scanner, disconnect the power cord and contact the dealer.
- Ensure that the power cable is disconnected when it is not in use for an extended time.
- All repair work should only be done by Medit or an authorized Medit partner. Users should not attempt to disassemble and assemble the scanner.
- If there is any damage to the product due to any disassembly, repair or modification not provided by Medit or authorized resellers, the warranty will be voided.
- Do not place any item on top of the scanner while scanning is in progress.
[4] Maintenance
- If the scanner has not been used for an extended period of time, check the software installation in your computer and perform the calibration process for the scanner.
- Ensure that the scan data is accurate.
- Periodically clean the scanner with a dry cloth and make sure to remove any moisture inside the scanner.
- Do not clean the scanner with a corrosive detergent or antiseptic solution.
- Always turn off the power when checking the scanner.
- Do not use any type of spray near or on the scanner.
- Do not touch the mirror or the lens inside the scanner.
[5] Instructions for storage
- Ensure that the power cable and any other cables are disconnected before storing the scanner.
- Gently wipe the surface of the scanner with a dry cloth to remove dust, moisture, liquids, or any other foreign materials that might contaminate the scanner.
- Keep the scanner in a safe place to avoid getting it damaged.
