Undercut analysis
- Based on the insertion direction, analyzes the undercut region. The user has two options for determining the direction.
Set insertion direction
Auto direction
- The program determines an undercut area minimization direction automatically and displays the undercut regions on the screen.
Manual direction
- The program calculates undercut regions based on the user's direction selection and presents them on the screen.
How to determine the undercut region using "Auto Direction"
1. Click “Undercut Analysis.”
2. Set the region of interest to calculate the undercut area.
- If the user does not set the region of interest, the system will calculate the undercut region using all the 3D models on the View Screen.
3. Click "Auto Direction."
How to manually set the insertion direction
1. Click “Undercut Analysis.”
2. Use the "Move," "Rotate," "Zoom In," and "Zoom Out" tools to change the model's direction.
3. Click “Manual Direction.”
Using insertion path arrows to calculate undercut area
1. Calculate the undercut using "Auto Direction" or "Manual Direction." The insertion direction will be indicated by an arrow.
2. Change the direction and angle of the arrow by left-clicking and dragging it. You'll be able to observe the changes as they happen in real-time.
Command options
Polyline selection
- All entities within a polyline form drawn on the screen are selected.
Circle selection
- All entities inside a circular area are selected.
Brush selection
- All entities on a freehand-drawn path on the screen are selected. The brush is available in three distinct sizes.
Deselection by tools: OFF
- The selection tools are used to choose data entities.
Deselection by tools: ON
- The selection tools are used to dismiss the selected data entities.
Clear all selection
- Dismiss all the data you've selected.
Auto direction
- The program determines an undercut area minimization direction automatically and displays the undercut regions on the screen.
Manual direction
- The program calculates undercut regions based on the user's direction selection and presents them on the screen.
